Our Canadian Small Business

We’re a homeschooling family from Alberta, Canada. We live in a tiny village where the sky feels big and the storms can shake the house. Between the two of us, we are raising and teaching two kids; as well as creating thoughtfully designed toys and learning resources. 

We made name blocks (alphabet blocks) for our kids.. and now we make them for you. We made hardwood name puzzles for our kids, and now we make them for you. Our kids wanted a fun shaped tray for their snacks, and now we make them for you. All of our hardwood trays are commonly photographed as sensory trays, but they are all food safe; and you can treat them the exact same way a cutting board. Our kids wanted trays shaped like unicorns, dinosaurs, alphabet letters, books.... you name it. We have it. 

We believe learning shouldn’t stay stuck on a worksheet. As homeschooling parents ourselves, we know that not every child learns best from a workbook. Our dry erase acrylics, sensory trays, and hands on materials are built to pull learning off of the page and into little hands. Everything from our signature hardwood trays to our reusable dry erase acrylics are designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and meaningful play... all while building real skills.

Our AWandCo products are designed and made right here in our Canadian workshop. We love making resources that can be used again and again. Our wood trays can be used for snacks, decoration, sensory play, and then later, add a dry erase insert and suddenly it's a fun shaped dry erase board for learning. Write your answers on this, your questions on some little dry erase acrylics, and your worksheet is now more engaging, and maybe even on theme. For many kids, being able to pick things up and manipulate them around with their hands, helps learning become more exciting, as well as memorable. 

We also carry a fun selection of books, Grapat toys, Bumbu toys, and a lot of felt toys. These items are all ready to ship within 2-3 business days.

Whether you are practicing your letters, working through math concepts, exploring sensory play, or simply finding new ways to make learning exciting (and engaging!!!). Everything here is designed and tested at our own homeschooling table before it ever reaches yours.
