These are the perfect little ladybugs for counting and sorting. Put the bugs into order from smallest to biggest. Or maybe do some addition and subtraction — the 4 dotted bug plus the 2 dotted bug equals the 6 dotted bug.
Draw a little background on paper, such as addition and subtraction signs — or draw the numbers and have your little one match up the dotted bug to the correct number. Or — have some imaginary play and have these bugs crawling around a little village. Use other wood toys in our lineup to make your little imaginary play setting.
Help your little one learn number recognition while practicing fine motor skills and sharpening shape recognition. Your little one will love playing with these counting bugs! This set is good for sorting, shape identification, pincer grasp, counting, stacking, hand-eye coordination — the list goes on. Plus it is great for imaginary play. My daughter likes sorting the colours, playing with them with her mushrooms, peg dolls and trees, and even playing with them with her play food. She plays with them in her “kitchen”.
Open ended play is also encouraged — Painted in pastel and neutral colours, the bugs are pleasing to touch; as well as look beautiful on a shelf.
The paint used is lead free, phlalate free, formaldehyde free, ammonia free, and zero VOC. It is truly a non toxic paint for your little ones. The clearcoat is also water-based and non-toxic.

I have most of the under the sea stampers and I love all of them. The stampers are beautiful - great size and quality and the images come out so well in playdough (even the more intricate ones) whether you press lightly or hard.
Another great set of dough stampers. The details come out clearly and they are beautiful designs. I’m thinking of using these for baking cookies too!
These are just beautiful. Heirloom quality. Solid wood, great size and the smell of the freshly burned image on the one side is amazing. The image comes out nice and clean in playdough and no bits get stuck in the stamp (at least from what I’ve tried so far). I’m going to order the upper case ones as well.
